In December we decided to visit Anuj in bay area. From
there we took a trip to Yosemite National Park, again my first of many
visits to Yosemite. It was winter time, and its here that I first saw a
LOT of snow. There was snow on the road, & in the park, there was
snow everywhere. We played with snow a little. We saw El Capitan, I did
not know its significance at that time. It was just a huge wall of rock,
very impressive even at that time. In front of it, the whole ground was
just full of snow. We saw some water falls, bridal veil and others. Not
much water because it was winter. We did not do any hikes, it was just a
car trip. It was winter and hiking was not on top of our fun list yet.

Las Vegas
I arrived in US on September 4th 2002. Immediately after
that in October, we took a trip to Las Vegas with Anuj. It was my first
road trip and first trip to the jazzy Las Vegas. We were there for just a
night. Visited a bunch of casinos. Paris Paris with its cloud ceiling
was most impressive. We gambled a little, but not much, of course no
money at that time. We also saw the water fountain show. It was a short
trip, but first of many.
