Burrough's trail

No, it did not take me to the top of the mountain, but very close ( to the base ). Burrough's trail. I think its one of the best hikes in the region. Medium difficulty, going to the 3rd one is tough, and we did not make it, but the best view is from top of the second. Rainier feels so close like you can just extend your hand and touch it.

Niagara Falls and Finger lakes

Once you live in New York, you have to see this ultimate US attraction, the Niagara Falls. We rented a car and drove to the falls. Its a long drive, but as soon as you leave the main NY city, it gets really green and beautiful. The falls did not disappoint either. They are as great and magnificent as seen in photos. There are couple of interesting things to do there - take the boat ride to go near the fall, take a boardwalk to go under a part of the fall. We decided to skip the boat, but took the board walk. It was full of water, and on the warm day it felt great. We had lot of fun getting wet.
Next we ate some food, walked around a bit, sat just looking at the tonnes of water flowing down. There are a lot of Indian eating places there because its a big attraction for all Indians who live and visit NY, so food was not a problem. Other than that there is not much to do there.

Finger Lakes:
On the way back, we decided to stop over at a area called Finger Lakes. Its a really beautiful area. Marked by many long thin lakes, canyons and a lot of greenery. Its a must do. I have rarely seen such lush greenery. We just wished we had more time to actually take a hike in the area.
